The Cabimas City is the seventh largest city of Venezuela. It is contigous portion is bounded by the North Santa Rita and Miranda City to the East, Falcòn State to the West, Lake of Maracaibo and to the South Simòn Bolivar. Cabimas is a city of the Costa Oriental del Lago, comprising 9 parish; Ambrosio, Carmen Herrera, German Rios Linares, San Bennnito, Romulo Betancourt, La Rosa, Jorge Hernàndez, Punta Gorda and Aristides Calvany.
Etymology:
The earliest know use of the name Cabimas, is attributed to the tree "Cabimo"..
History:

A Growing Community: Cabimas is famous for the Barroso II. New constructions are begun every day. So great is the construction gardens, public parks abound every where. Among its several stadiiums of softball and baseball, playgrounds. Other signs signs of prosperity and progress ae seen in the dields of art, sports and education, there are public schools, colleges, universities and many privatae schools. In adition, the public has access libraries, and Fundacultura Museuns and Casa Museo Margarita Soto.
In Cabimas are also found radio broadcastin starion and television station.
